Voices of art: Conversations with artist Napasio
Art is a universal language, one that transcends borders and unites hearts. Through the vibrant world of Napasio's work, we are reminded that we are all part of something bigger, a world teeming with colour and endless possibilities.
We discovered Napasio through one of our open calls, and were so captivated by the art that our curators proudly featured Napasio in our recent NFTUK Immersive show in March 2024
NFTUK: "Can you tell us about who Napasio is and how did your artistic journey begin? When did you come into this space?"
Napasio: "Hey everyone! My name is Napasio, I am a multidisciplinary artist, art director, and creator of the magical art universe Napasio World with many colourful characters and amazing stories. Art has always been a part of my life; I started drawing from an early age. I studied at an art school and then at an art college. Since 2021, I began to develop my artistic practice in a meaningful way, so we can assume that I began to engage in visual art seriously in 2021, and I entered the NFT space at the beginning of 2022. Since then, I have worked with many global brands and participated in exhibitions in different parts of the world: in New York, Miami, Toronto, London, Dubai, and many other cities."
NFTUK: "How would you describe your art to our readers?"
Napasio: "My art is an exciting adventure through the magical universe of Napasio World, which seeks to colour the everyday life. The Napasio World is not just stories in pictures – it is a prism through which, with the help of feelings and imagination, we can explore ourselves and the wonderful world around us."
NFTUK: "What type of influences and techniques do you use in your art process?"
Napasio: "I am a multidisciplinary artist and work with various mediums and techniques, as well as their combinations. I work with both physical and digital art. My main areas are illustration and animation."
NFTUK: "What type of story do you wish to tell through your artwork? How do you think your followers and collectors perceive your work? Have you ever received any feedback?"
Napasio: "When creating my works, I am inspired by life stories, people and their stories, as well as my observations and feelings. My works show the diversity of our world, as well as the positive influence of art. I regularly receive feedback. It's nice to see that your work captivates people, allows them to explore themselves and the world with the help of feelings and imagination, as well as the fact that my work helps to colour the lives of people in different parts of the planet – our common home."
NFTUK: "Are there any projects we should look out for that you might be currently working on?"
Napasio: "My creative method is that I like to work on several different projects at once. I recently launched a colouring book with my illustrations, which are liked by both children and adults. I also continue experimenting with animation and will soon be preparing new animation works where I combine various animation techniques such as frame-by-frame animation, puppet animation, and shapeshifting animation. And also, I am preparing a new series of canvases that will be presented at exhibitions this year."
NFTUK: "Tells us a little bit about some of your successes and milestones and what do you wish to achieve in the upcoming future?"
Napasio: "I started a meaningful career in art in 2021 – it's only been 3 years. These 3 years have been a fantastic adventure for me and the most exciting period of my life. I have participated in more than 30 exhibitions in different countries and continents, and made cool collaborations with different brands and artists. Also in 2023, I won the North Star Web3 Awards in Dubai. I'm sure this is just the beginning of my long journey. I've finally found my mission and I'm going to make Napasio World worldwide."
